Ferdi Wieling

London-based and Korea-born, I am a Dutch senior creative executive who finds a silly amount of joy in crafting businesses, teams, and cultures that drive growth and creative excellence.

An unrepentant and capricious hoarder of shiny things, and prolific haver of unrealistic ideas, I serve as global Chief Creative Officer for Investis Digital (IDX) where I support, push, and champion our people and work across the US, Europe, and Asia for a diverse portfolio of clients 1600+ strong, that includes the likes of Rolls-Royce, Lululemon, Estee Lauder, Del Monte, Vodafone, GSK, and IHG.

Looking in the rear-view mirror of a career that has spanned over two decades, I’m at my happiest crafting design that makes you sit up and lean in, and penning writing that makes you gasp or giggle.

Prior to joining IDX, I was Senior Vice President, Executive Creative Director and global Head of Design at Omnicom-owned agency Critical Mass, where I worked with clients like Mars Wrigley, Diageo, Apple, Peloton, AT&T, BNY Mellon, and Mitsubishi Motors. Before that, I was lucky enough to hold multiple senior creative positions across a mix of agencies and consultancies.

Some of my more storied accolades include launching agencies into new territories and markets, elevating existing capabilities, building out new service offerings to create organic growth, as well as attract new clients and open new verticals. This produced a small litany of award-winning solutions across the EMEA, APAC, and US regions, most recently being awarded multiple Cannes Lions for work done for M&M’S.

In real life, my most proud epithet is “Taika and Koko’s dad”. At the ripe ages of 4 and 2, they remind me daily that having fun and being kind is everything. This, and that—if all else fails—the quickest way to own a room is to shout “Papa, I need poopoo”.
